Getting Started

You came to this page because you want to:

•  do something
•  do something better
• teach someone to do something
• try something new

Maybe you would like to draw or paint. Maybe you dream of writing books for children or page-turning thrillers for adults. Maybe you want to compose arias, choreograph jazz dance productions or design formal gardens.
This book will focus on drawing and painting, but whatever your creative ambition, the principles that lead to its realization are the same.
The basic ideas presented here are not original.  They have been around for a long time.  They are simple to say, but acting on them takes courage.
You already know the risks of creativity. Keep reading, I dare you. Sample the rewards.
